From BBC:

We’re delighted to confirm a new series of Doctor Who has been commissioned and the show’s lead writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat, has revealed he’s already plotting a brand new run of adventures for the Doctor.

But way before that hits our screens we have a huge amount to look forward to. Your calendars should already have a big red circle around 23 November because that’s when the TARDIS returns in the frankly Earth-shattering adventure that celebrates half a century of Doctor Who. This 3D special stars Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman with David Tennant and John Hurt, seen briefly at the end of The Name of the Doctor. Billie Piper returns alongside Jemma Redgrave, Joanna Page… and the Zygons!

Doctor Who Christmas Special: New Photos and Details

Collider has released some new information and stills from the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special, The Snowmen!

Doctor Who: The Snowmen marks Jenna-Louise Coleman’s second appearance in the series – she also had a role in the season premiere “Asylum of the Daleks” as Oswin, who died at the end of that the episode.  That raises a lot of questions that may or may not be addressed in the Christmas Special as to whether or not her companion character Clara is Oswin, or another person entirely, or whether she’s traveling in an opposite direction in time as the Doctor (which has already been done with River Song).

Both Smith and Coleman have hinted that it’s more likely that Clara is just a new character, but even though the two had chemistry in her brief turn early in the season, it will be interesting to see how that plays out now, especially with the Doctor in deep mourning.

Neil Gaiman’s to Work on another Doctor Who Episode with Cybermen in it

A few days after Matt Smith‘s honorable attempt to say something, anything, about the upcoming Neil Gaiman-penned episode of Doctor Who without revealing any specific details (spoiler: he failed), Steven Moffat has stepped up and told us a few things we can expect from the episode. Number one on the list: The Cybermen will be back.

The episode will air next spring as part of the show’s eight episode post-Christmas special run. In addition to Smith and new companion Jenna-Louise Coleman, the Gaiman ep will star Warwick Davis (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Willow… why am I even noting his credits? You all know who Warwick Davis is), EastEnders‘ Tamzin Outhwaite, and Jason Watkins, who played the creepy-jolly vampire leader Herrick in Being Human (the UK version, naturally).

No doubt you will be watching it when it comes back!
